A little about Home Technology
I feel this is an exciting department that offers many different subjects that will lead into many pathways.We already offer a strong framework at key stage 3, which allows our young people to study half the year in Food Technology and the other half in Textiles Technology.
At Key stage 4 we offer a range of subjects, BTEC Children's Care, learning & development, BTEC Health & Social Care, and GCSE Food Technology.
All of which we hope will fully support the new 14-19 curriculum over the next couple of years.
We want to allow the young people in our department the opportuntiy to learn in ways which motivate and engage them.
With hard work from us and them, I know we will position them for success in life.
Our vision is to try and ensure pupils aquire an enthusiasm for learning within the department.
